Residential Building Designer
JD Designs is a Residential Building Design firm established in 1987. Jennifer Davis, President of JD Designs, has 30+ years’ experience in the building design industry. A graduate of San Jose State University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Interior Design/Architecture, Jennifer is past President of the California State Society of the American Institute of Building Design (AIBD) and is currently a member of the Colorado Chapter of AIBD.
Jennifer was the Co-Host of a local 1-hr, M-F radio show called “Springs Radio Real Estate” as a design and construction expert and produced the daily “Builders Corner” segment for the show.
Understanding the importance of education, Jennifer developed a DORA approved CEU course titled “The Anatomy of a Remodel” and presented to local Real Estate Agents.
With the importance of giving back to the community, Jennifer volunteered 4 years of time and expertise as a member of the Architectural Control Committee for the Woodmoor HOA and was recently elected to the Board of Directors, currently serving as Director of Covenants.
JD Designs has received a number of awards and recognition at various local, state and national design competitions sponsored by national trade organizations and published in media sources such as Sunset Magazine, California Home and Design, Designers Illustrated and local news print. Jennifer has also sat as a panel Judge in a national design competition for AIBD and a San Jose NARI Chapter design competition.
Custom Home Designs, Additions, Remodeling and More
JD Designs specializes in the design of residential additions, interior remodeling, new builds, ADU’s and master planning of remodeling an entire house, but built in phases. Jennifer has also produced conceptual design floor plans and elevations for the 7th largest production home builder in the nation, with these being built in several regions throughout the country. Our full-service designs include conceptual design in 3D CAD through producing construction documents suitable for HOA and Planning Department approval to permit ready plans.
Through partnerships with a few select construction firms, JD Designs can offer our customers a comprehensive level of service - design/build - that includes the full process from initial design development through completion of construction. This team approach to remodeling and new home design and construction ensures continuity, quality and cost effectiveness.
